Keeping your pug happy and healthy doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right daily care routine, your furry friend will stay clean, active, and full of energy.
🧼 Grooming and Cleaning
Pugs have short hair, but they shed quite a lot. Brushing them 2–3 times a week helps remove loose fur and keeps their coat shiny. Pay special attention to their facial wrinkles — these need to be cleaned regularly to prevent infections.
Use a damp cloth or pet-safe wipes to gently clean between the folds, then dry thoroughly.
🛁 Bathing Your Pug
Bath your pug every 3–4 weeks, or when they get dirty. Use a mild dog shampoo to avoid skin irritation. Over-bathing can dry out their skin, so don’t do it too often.
👂 Ear and Nail Care
Check their ears weekly for dirt or bad smells. Clean them gently if needed. Trim their nails every few weeks to prevent discomfort when walking.
🐾 Daily Exercise
Pugs don’t need intense exercise, but they still require daily walks. A short walk and some indoor playtime are enough to keep them fit. Make sure to exercise at least 30 min/every walk.
